Water softeners work through a process called ion exchange which eliminates calcium and magnesium from the water. The cartridge is housed in the cabinet of your home. The hard water enters into the mineral tank, which flows through a bed of spherical resin beads. These plastic beads, usually made from polystyrene, are charged with a sodium ion (the opposite of hardness). As water passes through this column of beads it's stripped clean of calcium and magnesium by grabbing onto these minerals and releasing sodium ions. When the bead seizes the mineral ion, the sodium ion is released. The column of resin strips all the hardness out of the water as it passes through the mineral tank, and softened water flows out into your home.

The water softener falls under this category as their common names are water softener, hard water softener, softener for hard water

We also deal in water softener for shower, water softener for washing machine, water softener for shower head

The other names of water softener are softener, ground water softener, Soften water, Soften hard water, Water Softeners, best water softener in india, water softener in india

Water softeners are specific ion exchangers that are designed to remove ions, which are positively charged. Softeners mainly remove calcium (Ca2+) and magnesium (Mg2+) ions. Calcium and magnesium are often referred to as 'hardness minerals'. Softeners are sometimes even applied to remove iron.
